Dr. Rickey grew up in the Pacific Northwest on a small hobby farm, where she developed her love of helping animals. She moved to Palm Springs, CA, where she started working at the local animal shelter, and fell in love with the desert. She then decided to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine, and attended St. George’s University in Grenada, where she earned her Bachelors of Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year at the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. She is interested in soft tissue surgery.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her senior chihuahua, Simon, three cats Sophie, Soo, and Sergei, and six guinea pigs. Her and her fiancée love to go camping, play video games, and cook together.
